Due to modern day environmental issues continuously raising, environmental protection turns to be one of the main social issues of our time. WFC have always been very active in environmental protection, and on August 31st, the WFC and French Embassy worked in collaboration to hold the press conference of the Franco-Chinese Month in Beijing, to announce the opening of a series of events for the 4th Franco-Chinese Month. This collaboration was put in place to improve the process of environmental causes and raise awareness of environmental protection.

The Franco-Chinese Month is the most well-known environmental event this autumn and the only multiple subject grand series event on environmental area held by a foreign country embassy. Sponsors will use the series event to reiterate awareness of environmental protection and to give publicity to latest Franco-Chinese collaboration. Franco-Chinese Month 2017 focuses on urbanization issues by hosting exhibitions, lectures, artworks, seminars, and documentaries etc. Specialists in this area as well as the public will have the chance to recognise the great changes throughout the cities worldwide, and to consider how to create an environmentally friendly and sustainable developmental in their own society. The event is honored by inviting famous actor Mister Jackie Chen and French artist and photographer, Mrs. Anaïs Liu Martane to attend as the promotional ambassador. During the conference, Mr. Chen Weizhong, the director of WFC, shared the honor of Green Building and his experience of administration with the media. Mr. Robert Lacombe, counsellor of the sector of culture & education cooperation of France Embassy, made a speech, and Mrs. Anaïs Liu Martane shared her photography on environmental protection. The conference attracted over 60 mainstream media platforms from all over the world. 

As the co-sponsor of the activity, WFC continue to follow the highest-level standard of environmental protection in their designs, and execute every detail to ensure they are bringing their tenants a safe, healthy, comfortable, energy conservative, and environmental friendly experience as well as willing to play a leading role on the green building area. 

Before this event, WFC has previously held various events in environmental protection, such as exchanging green plants with wasted stationery and art exhibitions for paper folding pieces. These impressive events could not be successful without the support of their tenants. Moving forward, WFC will continue to raise awareness of the environmental protection concept and continue to host more innovation and meaningful activities, leading tenants to contribute to the cause.
