Located in Beijing, World Financial Center(‘wfc”) was awarded the highest-level Platinum certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system by the U.S. Green Building Council in 2010, thanks to its advanced construction technology and environmentally friendly, energy-efficient design. It has since become a model for sustainable commercial projects in the region.
In 2020, the project achieved the second-highest global score to pass the LEED v4 Platinum certification (2020 assessment). It has also earned the highest standard certification under BEAM (Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method), the RICS "Sustainability Achievement Award," and the "Two-Star Green Building Label Certificate."
wfc is a model of sustainable development, recognised for its energy savings, water efficiency, emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.
wfc’s many features include a fully computerized Building Management System to monitor and control energy usage, insulated curtain wall system, grey water recycling system, and maximum use of natural light throughout.
