2022 WFC "Dream High" Art Season Officially Launched
Beijing World Financial Centre’s (wfc) 2022 Art Season officially launched on August 16. This year’s event was hosted in partnership with Spanish artist Martin Sati and the Weilan Library with the theme “Dream High”. The event focused on education equality while using art to evoke love and hope, and to light the way for children to follow their dreams.
Over 100 colourful paper cranes were displayed at the opening ceremony, representing the many wishes of children. Guests were invited to paint giant artwork and encouraged to think about their own dreams while giving back to the community. Together, wfc and the Weilan Library also launched a book donation campaign. During the festivities, the Weilan Library introduced the project and collected donations at wfc, and children’s wish lists were placed at the “Wish Table” in the lobby.
The Beijing World Financial Centre Public Art Programme launched in 2011 and has since been navigating the connection between art and commercial space. Through various activities, the program has created an artistic atmosphere where the needs of children and their wishes are fulfilled. In the future, wfc hopes to continue exploring the arts and create more opportunities to give back to the community with various projects, such as sports and public welfare, to create a warm, innovative, and emotional commercial space.
