With the energy and vitality that come with the vibrant summer, the first Food Festival at Beijing World Financial Centre (‘wfc’) under the Henderson Land Group was officially commenced. With the theme of ‘Sharing Meals and Stories,’ the festival brings together numerous popular restaurants and themed creative stores. It integrates a variety of activities such as bazaar check-ins, handicraft workshops, and charity donations, transforming into a commercial space that combines food, social, cultural, and public welfare activities. The event not only connects tenants with white collar customers to create new experiences for social interaction but also attracts broad attention with its distinctive dining appeal and multi-channel approach.
We invited over ten leading restaurants and lifestyle merchants to join the bazaar during the festival, including the original tea brand théATRE and their new tea house Shanju Cha Jing, restaurant featuring specialty dishes Jingwei Chì Yu Qiao, as well as popular coffee brands Starbucks, Coodi Coffee, Jamaica Blue, Cosic Coffee, among other diverse categories of merchants. Not only does the festival offer exclusive summer seasonal delicacies, but also unique cultural and creative exhibits. Throughout the month-long series of events, it presents visitors a blend of global dining experiences alongside urban social and cultural encounters.
In addition, environmental protection advocacy and public welfare attributes have been integrated into the bazaar. A highlight of this food festival is the charity donation campaign where 1% of the total sales receipts will be donated to the Beijing School for the Blind as a back-to-school gift after the event, demonstrating care and social responsibility while embracing ESG sustainable lifestyles. Concurrent online and offline activities such as food map check-ins, HendersonTouch lottery draws, daily bonus point promotions, and other relevant activities cater to customers’ one-stop shopping and dining needs during lunchtime. This festival is not only a popular venue for food, but also a social gathering spot for afternoon leisure.
Adhering to the project’s principle of 'Work –life synergy’ wfc actively integrates elements of art and culture, environmental protection and public welfare, and sports and health, continuously exploring innovation in commercial space to create vibrant office environments for tenants and consumers. For example, IP activities of the Happy Hour series, which has been operated for many years, links with various food and beverage brands to gather a multi-dimensional social circle for tenants and establish a high-quality communication platform for business cooperation and resource sharing. This year, the launch of wfc Badminton Club connects people from work to leisure and fosters a new social channel through sustainable community sports experiences, further enhances the ESG attributes of the community and cultivates a working environment with warmth.
